Topaz is a wonderfully nurturing stone. It helps illuminate our life’s path. It aids forgiveness and encourages truth. It’s recognized as a stone of love and good luck. It helps us eliminate issues of not trusting ourselves and others. This stone encourages us to be open and honest. It helps us to see our inner gifts and gives us the trust and courage to share these gifts with the world.

Physically it helps us with digestive issues and has been known to help with eye issues.

Jasper is a gently protective stone. It instills a sense of peace and calm during times of stress. I love this stone because Jasper is how I got into crystals. Years ago, I had a student who was writing me disturbing love poems and asking me where I lived. It was a very scary time, and then one morning I walked into my office and found a 2 1/2 inch piece of Jasper sitting on my desk. I took it to our Geology professor and he said it was Jasper and was used for protection. Two weeks later the student was arrested on another charge and I never saw him again. I still have and cherish that piece of Jasper, and I still have no idea how it landed on my desk.

Jasper is known to help women in childbirth. It protects mother and child and helps release the physical pain.

Jasper works slowly, so wear it or carry it with you to enjoy its calming protection. It’s a first chakra stone, so place as appropriate on yourself during meditation if you’re working on 1st chakra issues — money worries, job insecurities, house worries, family issues . . .

There are many different types of Jasper and while they each do different things, the main goal of Jasper is protection. I think of it as the mama bear of stones.

Blue Lace Agate is a beautiful light blue stones with wonderful bands of white running through it. This calming, peaceful stone helps us to gently learn to speak our truth. It’s a fifth chakra stone. It’s often called the Stone of Communication. It takes the edge off harsh discussions, eases anger and helps us to be a better public speaker. Because it’s a fifth chakra stone and this is where our clairaudience is, blue lace agate will also help us to enhance this intuitive gift.

It also helps us communicate with angels and because it’s an agate, it offers us protection. Many use blue lace agate when they call on angels to protect them.
